Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

This 4-foot Lego model of the Kauffman was built by an 8th grader, featured in JE Dunn’s storefront at Junior Achievement BizTown in Kansas City.

The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is a world-class entertainment facility in Kansas City. The original design was sketched on a napkin by the famous architect, Moshe Safdie, while he was eating dinner. The Kansas City Ballet, Lyric Opera, and Kansas City Symphony all perform in the Kauffman’s state-of-the-art performance venues, as do many other famous musicians, actors, and dancers. They even have productions where movies like Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean play on a giant screen while the symphony orchestra plays the soundtrack in real life!
